This stoneware cup was wheel thrown. The sgraffito fish
tea bowl was made in my studio in the mountains in Colorado.
First, I throw the tea bowl on the wheel. Next I sketch a drawing of the fish, then apply light washes of underglaze color. I apply turquoise underglaze to surrounding areas. Then I use a sharp tool to complete the sgraffito work. This piece was fired in a soda kiln.
Unique gift for fishermen.
It is about 4.5tall and 3" wide, holds approximately 12 oz. of liquid.
It is microwave and dishwasher safe.
Tea bowl pictured is actual item for sale.
Great gift for fish lovers.
